I was thinking the same thing, seems easier to cut a 90 down to 70 and weld a straight, but I like the way it tuned out and didn't think making it would look so good.

You can put the two flanges together and spotweld them, then run seam sealer along the flange and you shouldn't have any rust issues.

That panel could be made start to finish in an hour with a bead roller. You have access to one? No need for any crazy tooling, then 1" blocks would cost as much as paying someone to make that panel...

It's basically to tip an edge using a round bend instead of a tight 90* fold. Still makes a 90*, but it's a rounded corner.
