powder coat

I am curious where powder coating fits in the finishing spectrum? I assume you can't use filler because of the heat. And like wise the heat may produce warpage. I would think it is more forgiving...

I can't do the "no peek" thing. I use a clear gas cup. They break easier though if you push on a burr.

solder steel

Old school for leading body panels; we melted solder on the panel and rubbed it in with steel wool to get it to wet. Tinning paste works better.

When to do fender beads?

I am making a set of fenders for a Mercer. Should I put the rolled beads in before or after I slip roll the radius? I have seen two ways to pre stretch. One with a wheel and one by reverse...
