I contacted the Cinci office for a quote for 2 pcs 48" x 120". It came to $1.68 a pound or $118.59 per sheet. This quite a bit more that I pay for 18ga at $60.00/sheet (4 x 100).

My bead roller doesn’t like 17 ga. So I went old school on this Fire Bird trunk extension. From the paper pattern the 2 part wood die is made and with a router the edges rolled over on one panels....

Rough stamped sides
If the sides of the head are rough and show the stamping swag it's usually a cheaper hammer. Fairmont, Proto, Blue Point have a smoother ground side. In most cases the sides show no signs of stamping...

I have made a ot of these.
I have made quite a few of these and the 3 piece method has worked well for me. As for $47.00 ea x 4 = 188.00 plus shipping. I would rather have a few hours of fun and save the money.

What grade of 4140
I am assuming that you did use 4140 annealed is that correct?
Nor did you use a 4140 HT.
How about 4140PH (pre hardened)
I am a little slow on the nomenclature.

Try Roto Metals for lead. listed in there catalog as solder 30/70 and more. Bars are .7-1.1lbs at $7.86 per bar. Tinning butter is also available.
