Thanks guys. All useful information. My English wheel is a less expensive model. Not super stiff. It is larger than the yellow HF one. My lower anvils are all .003 out of round. I'm going to try them...

English wheel anvild
How close to perfectly round do the english wheel lower anvils need to be. My upper wheel is within .001. I haven't checked the lower ones yet.

prevent rust on dolly's using oil and heat
I read somewhere that you could prevent your dolly's from rusting by soaking them in oil and heating them in an oven a couple of times, but can't find it again. Does anyone know anything about it??...

a little clarification. It must be quenched in water within 10 seconds of coming out of the 920 degree oven. Thats "age" or let set a room temperature for 96 hours. The process hardens it to 2024-t42.
