Another Great Video Series From Wray Schelin

Below is a link to a Youtube series that Wray has been working on. I have been following this Jag bonnet shaping series and, as always, Wray delivers. If I had had access to this detailed training 30 years ago there is no doubt in my mind that I could have shaved about 5 years off my learning curve. (Im a slow learner)

The information will benefit all levels but for you new guys, this should be viewed and studied until it is burned into your memory. When I was starting out, I didn't understand arrangement, shaping, and area value. I would have given anything for this information. Wray covers all this in depth along with flexible shape patterns. Wray also holds training classes at his shop. If you can, I would suggest attending. I think he would be pleasantly surprised if you walked in the door and already had this knowledge.

At the moment there are 4 parts and he will probably wrap it up soon in part 5.

Part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvLsj0WXhpc&t=576s

I saw part 1. what kind of powder did he use to fill the glue?
It's perfect. Well explained.

I agree! I am a beginner who has struggled though a lot of difficulties brought about by my lack of knowledge. When watching these videos it was almost uncanny how time and time again Wray gave advice on what and how to handle specific issues that have given me problems. Wray has a lot of knowledge and he has an exceptional ability to teach it to beginners.

Jeroslav, if you're asking what powder he used to kill the sticky of the tape, it's just baby powder. The cheapest stuff you can find.

Corn starch works too, and there's no fragrance.

Okay. Thank you for the clarification. I had momentale no idea and I knew it.
Today I tried tape according to video 1. The problem was that tape was not holding the transparent tape on the first layer.
Shit material.

But this is the this time century. Cars that do not run for trivial failures. Tape that doesn't stick ..... That upset me today.

Actually, he says that he used Plaster of Paris.

Thank you. I tried a similar template. The tape didn't hold me well. Plastic to paper. Probably bad material. I was get a new idea. But I used a napkin from the kitchen.
