Thanks David

Hi David,
Like most tools and machines the Magnabend has pluses and minuses.
Probably its most significant limitation is the thickness capacity.
The E-type Magnabend will bend 1.6mm (16 gauge) sheet metal although the bends in that material are not particularly sharp.
But provided you are working in thinner gauges then the Magnabend is generally more versatile than other folders.
Have you looked at the video that we made (some time ago now!):

Good on you, Dave,
I think you won't be disappointed on your choice.

If my one is limited to not being able to do small bends and it's a Gen 1, I'll will be updating to the latest Gen model; in the not to distant future.
I had mine for 17 years not 7 as posted and was an Ex TAFE college unit in the Late 70's.

So 39 years of abuse, and still going strong, not bad I say. A well thought out designed machine.:D

Thanks Mr Bottomley

I don't regret for a second buying mine about 5 years ago, it is a very versatile and useful bender.

Every machine has its limitations, it is what makes metal-work interesting sometimes :)

Cheers Charlie
