Titanium gauge question
Hi guys, can you tell me if the gauge chart for Titanium is the same as Aluminum or Steel?
Google wasn't helpful on this one. Or perhaps I phrased the question inaccurately. Thanks in advance... |

The salespersons in any metal dept. I've ever spoken with across the US have all been savvy to the decimal/mm. |

........ how about a query on stripping electroless nickel from a nice old steel prop spinner? I got it straight, while the shattering nickel sprinkled everywhere - then I sanded a bit, then blasted the rest of the loose stuff, leaving a few sq. inches here and there .... I need to strip, finish the metal smoothing, copper it up, sand that, and then go to final nickel. Help? |
How about cluing us in on what you wish to make out of titanium we are a curious lot
I can tell you tough stuff to shape but possible |

I had a '33 Willys grill that I had the chrome stripped and a lot of copper was left and it looked doggy, so I let it soak in my citric acid tank for a few days. When it came out almost all the copper was gone. I doubt we are talking the same type of thing, but I thought I'd put it out there.
