Metalshaping in the North Woods 2018
I will be hosting the North Woods Metalshaping meet again this year on October 4th, 5th and 6th at my shop in Cumberland, WI. Similar to past years, the focus will be on making and repairing panels primarily using hand tools.
We probably have space for around 25 people in total. If you'd like to attend, please respond to this post, or send me a PM. Let me know what days and if you are bringing a larger project. Here is a link that shows photos from last year http://www.allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=16900 ------------------------------------------------------------------ I believe Pat Brubaker will be here offering a class or two prior to the meet. Details on that should be available soon. |

Hotel in Cumberland
Some of you that attended in previous years stayed at the Cumberland Inn and Suites. It has been sold and is now the AmeriVu Inn and Suites - Cumberland The phone is unchanged at (715) 822-5655. At least online, the rates appear a bit lower than before.

I was looking for an event to come to this fall. Drew |
Body Sweeps
Some of you probably remember I demonstrated how to make body sweeps using a method developed by Mike Rouse, at the meet in 2016. I can set the router table up for this again if there is an interest.
If anyone wants to make a custom sweep, or even make a small set of standard sweeps, everything will be setup for it, just bring some blanks to cut them from. I use 1/8" hardboard blanks (also called Masonite by some) You can use other materials if you prefer. Let me know if you are interested and we can work out the details. |
I updated the attendee list in posting #5 above. Looks like we will have a good group this year. Most of the previous attendees will be back, and we've got several new faces as well.
