Hogtown Meet 2017

MAY 6-7, 2017

The Hogtown Metalshaping Meet will be held at my work place on the first weekend of May this year.

I will bring all my shaping equipment from home but we could always use more shaping stuff such as e-wheels, hammers, bags, stumps, etc.

E-wheels are extremely important and a few guys brought theirs last year. I appreciate the effort they took and it would be great if it could happen again.

I have manual shrinkers and stretchers and also the Baleigh power shrinker/stretcher to play with. We have enough TIG welders so we're OK there.

BBQ lunch will be served both days.
Both days we will get started at 9:00 AM and run until everyone's burned out.

The meet will be held in the Markham Road/Finch Avenue area in Scarborough. (Toronto)

If you have a large project let me know as the time gets closer, I can see if we can have enough space for everything.
We have plenty of space for doors, hoods, fenders etc, so bring them on.

If you wish to attend please reply to this thread so I have an idea of how many are coming.

2721 Markham Rd. #25
Scarborough, ON M1X 1L5

Thanks,

What's behind the name of the event?
"Hogtown" conjours up all sorts of ideas. I'd guess there is some legend or story.

Bump.

Any Ontario members out there looking to learn some techniques?
Don't be shy. No experience necessary.
This is more for the newbs than anyone else. :D

No worries Ed.
Just come on up. We'll take care of any tools you need to use.

Can you grab me a case of contraband on the way? I'll pay you when you get here. ;)
