wire buck problem
 

Attachment 47614Attachment 47614I'm building an aluminum body using a wire buck and have just formed a couple of panels which I would like to scribe and trim for welding. My problem is that I can't fit clamps in to hold both panels at the same time. I need some way to attach one of the panels to the buck wires without getting in the way of the other panel and clamps.

I have thought of a way to make some little clamps that would clamp the buck wire to the back of the panel through a little hole.

If someone already makes something like this I would like to buy some. Or if anybody has another good idea let me know. This problem has to have come up before.

Maybe a few neodymium magnets.

You might try an adel clamp.

The clamps are available from Aircraft Spruce, you will find them on-line. You can get the clamps for a 3/16" wire, and you can cleco the clamp shut on your wire buck or use a 10-32 screw.

Thanks guys. This is probably only a problem in one man shops so I came up with this idea. I bought some little plastic hangers for attaching coax cable to things and replaced the nails with #6 screws they work well and require only a small hole.
