Bust Your Rusted Nuts

Here's a product I saw in Germany a few weeks back. It is an induction heater for breaking free rusted nuts. The "wand" plugs into some sort of welding/inverter box. 850 Euros!!!!

i saw this on science channel earlier today. They cooked a hotdog with it. Im sure it works for stuck nuts. Induction brazing has been around a long time. Same technology

Bill been around a few years and sold by the tool truck guys for around 750. Plugs into a 110 wall socket and is great for working in areas where a flame would be disastrous ( fuel tanks , exhaust manifolds etc)

Induction heat can also be used to remove soft dents e.g. in paintless dent repair. Here is a random video from youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUvG3kxcGb8 looks like magic, is not. If the dent has "sharp" edges you'll never get it out this way.

I picked up a Mini Ductor Venom a few months ago for about $425 online. They make other models too.

Using this and prespraying with Kroil I've been able to unstick a substantial number of rust flaking bolts from the subframe of a '67 Firebird that's never been apart.

For me, it's much better heat control than the Oxy torch. But I suck at getting a torch tip at the right angle in tight spots.
