I have some of those bits and it has not stopped me from changing the fasteners on motorcycles to Torx, socket or hex head.
They do work better than standard #2 Philips or pozidrive though as thats the most common size. |
Wow, the things I never knew. I've often wondered why some Phillips screwdrivers just would not remove a certain screw. After reading the article, I believe I can spot the difference now. Ordered some JIS bits from Amazon.

There is also a Reed & prince, that looks like a Phillips but also has a slight difference to the shape. Not sure if it is the JIS equivalent. Steve |
