Nice job Mike:D
Peter PS say hi to Craig for me |
Mike - Wow! Love the lines and panel fitment. If I stay with the auto side of metal shaping my next project will be a full body on chassis. The info you share well make a hard task a little bit easier for someone going down this path.:)

Great work and good to see your son helping out.

WOW! I just found this thread. Very nice work, Mike. I love the twin hood scoops!

Thanks Jack, I'm enjoying your project as well. My dad had a ,56 Coupe Deville when I was kid. The first car I ever drove. Always a Caddie fan!

Progress on the body has been slow because there is still chassis work to do. When I get stumped, I'll still get some sheet work done. Like these rocker/threshold structure pieces. There are 4 per side and they attach to inner rocker, stradle and support the exhaust tunnel, the attach the outer rocker/skin.
Attachment 35292 Attachment 35293 The original body will get cut and trimmed to accept the new skin then butt welded after most of the attaching structure is complete. This view illustrates how much wider the new body will be. |
Mike nice project. Just signing up to watch the fun. :p

Mike are you getting some use out of the machine you got from me? I hope it's helping you out.
